Cleaning for MacRae & Dick

The North's Driving Force Team Up with The Cleaning Force .. . . . . . . MacRae and Dick, Scotlands longest established Motor Group has awarded Vacman Cleaning a contract to clean 5 showrooms at 5 of their Franchises in Inverness. From 1st May the Landrover, Jaguar, Ford, Mazda and Honda showrooms in Harbour Road, the city's motor mile will receive that special Vacman touch.

With more than 130 years trading history behind them Macrae and Dick is one of the most respected and prestigious motor groups in the UK, said Neil Montgomery, Managing Director of Vacman." I am a longstanding customer of the company myself. I have bought commercial and private vehicles from the company so I know first hand the quality of service. They have an extremely strong brand image, as well as an outstanding reputation for providing quality products and services. Needless to say we are extremely proud that they have entrusted Vacman to reinforce their quality image through the provision of a top class cleaning service. We will work hard to ensure they can dsiplay their vehicles, do business and entertain their customers in a spotlessly clean environment."

Meanwhile Vacman continues to grow in the face of recession by announcing a futher trio of daily cleaning contract wins in the north of Scotland. In Inverness Weldex the UK's largest Crawler Crane Hire company as well as Culloden Medical Practice joined the rapidly growing list of daily cleaning contracts. In Invergordon, the American based international engineeing conglomerate, Black & Veitch chose Vacman to provide industrial cleaning sevices on a major Scottish Water project. The contracts will see an additional 12 cleaners join Vacman by May 1st. These wins are the result of companies reassessing their costs in the this tough economic climate and making sure they are receiving best value. Successful companies recognise the benefit in outsourcing their cleaning to the right company. Finding the right company is key to the process. If they do this properly they are able to concentrate on their core functions, decreasing cleaning costs and increasing profitability", said Neil Montgomery." It's a win, win situation for everyone, when its done right".

We are the Greener Cleaner ! ! ! . . . .

At Vacman we are serious about the environment. That's why we are the first cleaning company in Scotland (and maybe even the UK) to install our own wind powered generator to provide us with electricity in our Glenrothes offices. The move is just a small part of a much larger strategy Vacman has in place to reduce our effect upon the environment. Our Environmental Management System is one of the most comprehensive in our industry and it covers everything we do.

Vacman aims to be the centre of expertise, knowledge and excellence on all matters relating to industrial cleaning , commercial cleaning services and products, including green supply. We aim to continually improve our environmental performance for the benefit of our employees, customers and the general public. We are committed to leading, participating in, informing and influencing environmental issues and to assisting our customers, suppliers and other organisations with which we are involved to achieve their own best practice objectives in this area.

Every LIDL Helps ! ! ! . .. . .

OK, we may have borrowed someone else's catch phrase but, did you know that every chilled food cabinet in every one of the 85 LIDL stores throughout Scotland, is regularly stripped down, thoroughly deep cleaned and sanitised by Vacman's Retail Cleaning Operatives? Probably not, we think, because it all takes place in the hours of darkness. Every night, 7 nights per week Vacman cleaners arrive at a store just after it closes. Chill cabinets are emptied of their food content , which is stored in portable chillers. The cabinet is then stripped down to it's bare frame, steam cleaned and sanitised before being re-assembled. Chilled foods are then replaced and finally, a small sticker is placed in an unobtrusive location showing the date the service was performed. It's just one of the many unseen hygiene tasks performed in grocery stores throughout the country on a regular basis.

Lidl is one of the largest grocery retailers in Europe. After opening their first store in Germany in 1973 the company grew rapidly. During the 1990's the company expanded their operations into several countries, including the UK. It is currently one of the UK's fastest growing retailers. Vacman provide a range of cleaning services for Lidl. As well as performing high level deep cleaning at the company's massive Livingston distribution centre, Vacman carry out periodical store deep cleans in towns and cities throughout Scotland. " Lidl demands very high standards of work from their contractors" said Neil Montgomery, Managing Director of Vacman. "They require meticulous attention to detail when it comes to hygiene and we are proud that they entrust us with the responsiblity of maintaining the high standards they expect in their chilled food operations, as well as the other important cleaning tasks that we perform for them on a daily basis ".
